Philip Brigstock-Bates

Philip understands that businesses regard international markets as critically important opportunities to develop and expand their export sales growth. Doing business is never risk free, particularly overseas, so it is essential to identify and manage those risks. Philip’s approach throughout the learning experience is to highlight risks of trading internationally and to enable participants to feel confident in their handling of documents in international trade and to understand how this is pivotal in achieving success in export sales.

Philip has been advising businesses for over 25 years on documents and procedures involved in importing and exporting for commercial, compliance and customs purposes. Philip’s professional background is with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young where he gained extensive experience advising businesses on customs and international trade compliance and customs duty planning. Philip is a graduate member of the Institute of Export, a member of The Association of Taxation Technicians and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
