Course Description:

The PGW2200 Breakdown and Troubleshooting Workshop (PGWBT) is an advanced course for PGW2200 developers. The course provides a dense set of knowledge for already highly educated senior engineers working with the PGW2200 in large scale dial plan scenarios. After the theory the participants are configuring and troubleshooting various PGW2200 elements.

The course provides advanced training for senior level network professionals. Target audience for this course are upcoming PGW experts.

The course is a prerequisite for network administrators and technicians involved in designing, integrating and troubleshooting complex PGW network environments.

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

  • Install and setup PGW2200
  • Identify PGW2200 scalability and fault tolerance
  • Identify PGW2200 interfaces and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
  • Integrate all types of redundancy in PGW2200 solutions
  • Integrate Signalling Transport (SIGTRAN) together with Cisco IP Transfer Points (ITP)
  • Integrate PGW in Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Service Provider (SP) Core networks
  • Integrate various customer dial plan with various signalling concepts like Cisco WAN Q Interface Signalling Protocol (QSIG) or SIP
  • Use Man-Machine Language (MML) and other integrated tools for deployment, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot large scale dial plans regarding design, number modifications and call routing
  • Integrate and troubleshoot various result sets, cause analysis and trigger sets
  • Troubleshoot all types of signalling around the PGW
  • Troubleshoot PGW with MML, snoopers and other tools
  • Resolve PGW performance and convergence issues
