Real estate management has many facets; from day-to-day management such as letting property and rent reviews to the more strategic issues associated with corporate real estate management. You will be introduced to the nature of the landlord tenant relationship, including relevant key legislation. You will examine the associated issues and processes which form a substantial element of real estate management, together with requirements for corporate, operational and more general management.
You will be able to study the various legal, physical and financial characteristics of real estate together with the tools and management strategies required to attain optimal management outcomes. The aim is that you will acquire and develop a critical, evaluative and yet practical understanding of the skills and knowledge necessary for the effective management of real estate assets within a range of situations and scenarios. The process of buying and selling property as a means of developing and meeting a real estate management strategy will be covered as well as the nature of estate agency as a means of achieving this.
