Expand your knowledge of basic pattern cutting methods. This is a practical course designed to build on your existing skills and is suitable for those who have previously completed Pattern Cutting Level 1 or who have a good working understanding of pattern cutting basics learned elsewhere.

Using existing standard size 10/12 women's wear blocks (including trouser, jacket and two-piece sleeve, as well as bodice, basic one-piece sleeve and skirt) you will further enhance your already acquired basic pattern cutting skills by learning to create pockets, collars, vents, yokes and different trouser leg silhouettes.

The course will comprise a series of practical, technical workshops featuring tutor-led demonstrations, building on the basics already learned and adding new and more technically advanced techniques. You will continue to use and recognise specialist equipment, correct pattern terminology, seam allowances and the importance of featuring vital written information on every pattern piece.

A good working knowledge of basic pattern cutting is required to participate fully on this course.
