This learning is tightly connected with a practical application of your skills and knowledge, in particular through a live consultancy project which you will undertake.

International corporations are dominating a large proportion of world trade today. While much business is still conducted at a local level, the complex phenomenon called globalisation is affecting businesses even on the street corner.

The rapid development of economies in Asia and elsewhere, the steady erosion of barriers to trade overseen by the World Trade Organisation’s agreements, and the search for global economies of scale to offset increasing costs of research and development have resulted in an unprecedented growth in international trade.

In this context it is necessary to understand the importance and scope of international value chains and the variety of ways in which culture affects global business operations. In such a turbulent environment, managers need to be aware of the complex issues faced by all companies (whether international or not) in order to select the best strategy to enable their company to prosper.
