Fashion, Costume and Character Illustration, Short Course Programme

This course is designed for people with basic drawing skills who are interested in exploring figure drawing for specific outcomes. This includes people building their portfolios for college or work applications and freelancers, illustrators and designers looking to focus on representing the human form.

Starting with life drawing you will explore various approaches to representing the human form in an expressive and communicative way. Next, using a combination of visual research, manual and digital techniques you will develop your style to accommodate the requirements of various commercial specialisms.

The course is hands-on, taught in a series of practical workshops and critical seminars. At the end of the course you will have a range of work for your portfolio including development sketches and finished digital images.
