What does the course involve?

Working in commercial salons to study facials, eye treatments and make-up. Anatomy & physiology and underpinning knowledge of practical units Demonstrating transferable skills in retail, customer care and health and safety The majority of the timetable for this course is practical, however good research and assignment skills will be required to support the theory units. It is essential that students practice at home as they will be required to treat clients in a working salon environment. Assessments take place throughout the course by on-line papers for Anatomy & Physiology and evolve exams set by City and Guilds. Practical assessments will be undertaken working in a commercial environment.

What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? The opportunity to progress on to Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Complementary Therapies or Theatrical and Media Make up or there are a variety of employment opportunities in this field – High Street Salons, Product Houses and Mobile Therapists.
