Level 4 Construction & the Built Environment (Civil Engineering) HNC

This modular course is designed for people wanting employment in the civil engineering sector of the construction industry and related professions as technicians.

This course consists of the following:

• Applied mathematics for construction and the built environment Level 4
• Civil engineering technology Level 4
• Design principles and application for construction and the built environment Level 4
• Science and materials for construction and the built environment Level 4
• Structural analysis and design Level 5
• Site surveying procedures for construction and the built environment Level 4
• Engineering geology and soil mechanics level 4
• Group project in the construction industry Level 5

Students must have ONE of the following:

• At least 2 'A' Levels at 'A2', one in a related subject area
• BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma in Civil Engineering or a BTEC Diploma in Construction
• Advanced Diploma with relevant Principal or Additional and Specialist Learning (ASL)
• International Baccalaureate
