Description
The course is practically based and consists of the following:
- Safely checking the supply is dead before commencing work
- An introduction to applying the Wiring Regulations & Building Regulations to domestic electrical installation
- Correctly installing lighting & power circuits
- Testing all circuits installed
- Completing test certificates
Although this course includes completing all the basic tests it is recommended that students also complete the 2392 Inspection & Testing course and the 2382 Wiring Regulations, before considering themselves competent at Initial Verification of their own work.

- Employment in a related trade (plumbing, kitchen fitting etc)
- Substantial DIY experience (if you have any doubt about your level of experience, please contact the tutor)
