Course Aim & Objective:
To enable you to prepare your bodies in order to work with maximum comfort in Yoga and to improve your ability to develop a relaxed approach to Yoga practice.
Ability to practice and experience limbering techniques, to make use of co-ordination of health and movement, to modify and develop postures according to your own ability.
Assessment:
Discussion, Question and Answer, ongoing observation and feedback by tutor. You are encouraged to practice limbering techniques often. Learners in any Yoga class are at different starting points determined by various factors like age, health, experience etc. Yoga is not competitive. It can, in most cases, be adapted to suit the individual.
Course Syllabus:
- Prepare your bodies in order to work with maximum comfort in yoga.
- Improve your ability to develop a relaxed approach to yoga practice.
- Practise experience limbering techniques to prepare and warm the muscle of the lower and upper body
- Understand the importance of repetitive practice.
- Make use of co-ordination of health movement in a wide range of movements like forward, back and side bending, twist and balance.
- Modify/develop some postures according to your own ability
- Understand the reasons for modifications and progression to deeper moves.
- Experience relaxation techniques.
