French a2 (1st year of 2 year course)

You will need 2 years to cover the syllabus.

During the first year, you have the opportunity to re-sit some or all units of the 'AS' examination ( New Specification only ).

Examination costs are included in published course fees.

Learner & Entry Requirement: 

You must have attained AS or equivalent.

General & First Session: 

Please bring pen and paper if you have them, but do not purchase anything specifically for the course until after the first class.  KAE is unable to offer refunds for any materials, equipment or books if the course is subsequently closed.  The tutor advises on book purchase.

Course Aim & Objective: 

The course aims to enable you to speak and write competently and be able to discuss topics of interest; and to increase your knowledge of France and French.  To pass the A2 exam.

Assessment: 

EDEXCEL assessment.

(A2 level second year.)  Please ask at the centre office for details of other courses at KAE.

Course Syllabus: 

Please check the EDEXCEL website.  The A2 level covers literature, the geography of France and current social and political issues.  Subjects are decided by tutor and learner at first session.
