Description

Build on your intermediate skills in working with Spreadsheets.  The class covers the more advanced features of Excel including Look Up Tables, logical "IF" functions, macros, complex graphs and charts.  Basic knowledge of a computer application is helpful e.g. Word or Excel.

Learner & Entry Requirements: 

You should have attended the Intermediate course or have equivalent skills.

General & First Session: 

Please bring a pen and paper to take notes.  KAE is unable to offer refunds for any equipment, materials or books if the class is subsequently closed.

By the end of the class you should be able to use functions confidently, design pivot tables, create and run macros, and create more complex graphs and charts.

Assessment: 

A range of assessment techniques will be used.  These include observation, discussion, question and answer sessions, demonstration, practical work and handouts.

Course Syllabus: 

Topic areas include:

  • Using LOOKUP tables
  • Understanding and using pivot tables
  • Using IF functions
  • Writing and running macros
  • Working with more complex graphs and charts.
