Course Content

Whether you are looking for a career progression or a career change, or are a farmer or farm manager involved with the administration of a farming business, this course will be suitable for you. The teaching, using lectures and case studies, looks at the diverse roles of the rural business administrator and covers the essential records for finance and accounts, the employment of staff, together with the records required by crop and livestock legislation and assurance schemes.

The course consists of four units:

  • Preparation and maintenance of rural business accounts
  • Payroll, legal and management records for rural business staff
  • Legislative, farm assurance and production records for livestock
  • Legislative, farm assurance and production records for crops

Entry Requirements

Some knowledge of either rural/farming business or administration.
