Special programme at Masters Level

You will work under the guidance of a tutor, and your studies may incorporate elements of lecture or seminar courses, reading, visits, fieldwork, conferences and short courses. Fees for freestanding modules from masters programmes are normally charged at a proportion of the full rate for the programme, depending on the credit value of the module.

Features

Some individual modules from masters degrees can be taken as freestanding courses:

• at the end of the course, we will provide you with a certificate of attendance, which will indicate the type and level of work you have undertaken and any successfully completed assignments
• credit may be awarded for these if you have satisfied the standard entry requirements for the relevant course or award.

Who is this programme for?

Teachers, administrators and others working education or related areas can undertake special programme studies at the Institute for between one term and one year.

How are you assessed?

Assessment will vary depending on the requirements of the module you undertake and could be coursework, portfolio or practical based assessment.

Entry requirements

You should have the same qualifications as those necessary for the module you are taking.
