What does the course include?

The purpose of this course is to give you an overview of the skills associated with the Construction and Building Services Industry such as;

  • Electrical Installation
  • Plumbing
  • Heating and Ventilation

What do I need to get on this course?

To qualify for entry to Level 2, you are required to have obtained at least 4 GCSE’s at Grade D or above or a relevant vocational qualification at level 1.

In addition, you must have at least a level 1 competence level in Maths and Literacy

You may need to sit initial assessment tests and attend an interview with the course tutor.

The course is assessed by a number of multiple choice on line exams and practical assignments. Based on;

  • Installing basic Electrical circuits and systems
  • Domestic hot and cold water systems
  • Basic boiler maintenance
  • Simple temperature calculations

Where does it lead?

On successfully completion of the course you can progress on to your chosen level 3 Building Services pathway or an apprenticeship scheme.
