Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®) validates the ability to install, operate and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®) validates the ability to install, operate and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks. CCNA certified professionals have the knowledge and skills to make connections to remote sites, mitigate basic security threats, and understand the requirements for wireless network access. Routers have many possible configurations and this course will teach you how to apply them you will learn by practicing with simulations but also with real routers and develop this very important skill to employers.

This course goes through the entire key configuration and troubleshooting skills requires to managing networks, which is essential in the vast majority of businesses.

This course is no concessions, and requires a telephone interview.

What do I need to get on this course?

There are no pre-requisite qualifications needed for entry to this course. However, a good knowledge and strong interest in IT is highly recommended.

How will I be assessed?

At the end of each chapter and at the end of each semester, there is a self assessment in the form of a Greenwich Community College online exam.

Questions are asked in a random order. Students might also get a SIM or SIMLETquestion as the first or last question for each individual exam about 75 questions are pulled from a central database of which they only see 40 to 50 questions.

Each of the 4 semesters has a final exam, as described above, and there is also a final CCNA exam, which completes the certification for which a test must be booked at a Pearson Testing centre.

Where does it lead?

This qualification offers opportunities for progression within the workplace as Cisco Network engineer. Candidates may also progress toward The Cisco certified CCNP.
