Description
Being part of the Falck group of companies has provided Falck Safety Services with significant benefits in the expanding wind power business sector. In November 2011, we officially launched our industrial training unit in Teesside, which has state-of-the-art facilities to cater for offshore wind farm safety training. We are now leading from the front in providing dedicated safety training for the wind and renewable sectors.
The Basic Safety Training is designed to refresh personnel with the basic skills that will enable
them to work in a safe manner in the global wind industry. It is designed to accommodate
personnel working both onshore and offshore.
Prerequisites:-
A valid GWO or RUK First Aid Wind Turbine certificate or a valid GWO or RUK First Aid Wind
Turbine certificate refresher
Content:-
minor injuries and illness related to the human body.
Understanding and correct order of management in an emergency situation in a Wind Turbine
Generator environment.
Correct use of lifesaving first aid using the primary survey A-B-C.
Correct use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED).

On successful completion of course content, delegates will be awarded a GWO and RUK
Approved First Aid Certificate which is valid for 24 months.
