The MSc Business Management qualification is designed to appeal to people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience. Similarly, the MSc Business Management has relevance to those seeking careers in the public, private and voluntary sectors. This course will provide you with a sound theoretical grounding in the broad area of business management and stimulate an enquiring, analytical and creative approach to business management. What's involved You will be able to study on a part-time basis, at a pace which best suits your individual needs. However normally we would expect you to complete within 18 months to two years. Requirements at a glanceEntry to the courseThe Honours degree is the recognised “normal” entry into postgraduate study. In order to determine suitability for post graduate study, information is sought through the application form. The process is designed to enable judgement to be made regarding equivalence to Honours degree outcomes:Applicants without the required level of academic qualification, for example holders of a degree without honours may be considered if they have significant experience in a post of appropriate professional, administrative or managerial responsibility. It is anticipated that the additional experience will provide learning opportunities which will be regarded as equivalent to honours level outcomes. Those applicants who do not possess an honours degree may be enrolled, in the first instance, as Associate students for the first trimester. Satisfactory performance on these modules may result in registration on the MSc Business Management programme.Applicants with other relevant qualifications from recognised academic or professional institutions may be considered for entry where the learning outcomes from these qualifications can be satisfactorily matched against those of the MSc BM.If appropriate, applicants may be required to provide evidence of competence in English (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 575).All applicants are required to have an Internet connection.The admissions process is designed to assure the programme team and the applicant that they will be able to undertake the programme. It also acts as a diagnostic process allowing the identification of students who may need additional guidance and support in undertaking postgraduate study.Fees TableFees 2012/132013/14 Overseas/UK£740£770per 20 credits Fees displayed are correct at the time of publication but the University Court reserves the right to make changes in fees at any time, and without notice, before or after the student's admission to the University.Tuition fees are reviewed annually and will rise each year during your programme of study, at least in line with inflation.
