About This Course:

The course provides qualifications you need for professional membership and insurance or employment in the field of complementary and holistic therapies. You’ll study holistic therapies and related subjects to National Certificate level. This can lead to employment or entry to higher level courses.

What You Need:

There are no formal entry requirements, however you should have:-

  • An interest in holistic or complementary therapies, and commitment.
  • An interest in working with people and a high level of personal presentation.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • A Standard Grade (or equivalent) in Biology is desirable, but not essential.

What You Study:

The subjects you’ll study include: Facial Massage, Body Structures and Systems, First Aid, Crystal Therapy, Thai Foot Massage and Healthy Eating and Wellbeing.

After The Course:

Career

Complementary or holistic therapy practice, health and leisure spas, or self employment.

Continuing study

Apply for HNC/D Complementary Therapies. Other HNC/D courses may also be available.

How Long:

One year, starting in August.
