Direct Entry into Level 6 Top-up Programme: Direct entry into Level 6 is available to students that have: A) A Merit profile (a minimum of 50% of module grades at merit or above), normally in either a Foundation Degree or HNC/HND or equivalent with a strong Business content. Or B) For qualifications gained at an overseas institution, the qualifications must be attained a level deemed equivalent to the above and applicants be able to converse in the English language at IELTS Level 6.0 or above. Or C) For non business qualifications, professional qualifications and for those learners with significant work experience, applications for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) and Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) are welcomed in accordance with the Newman University College Admissions Policy specified in section three of the Newman General Regulations (Newman 2013:3). Acceptance of applications for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) and Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) will depend on individual students presenting an evidenced portfolio of their learning. Applications will include the requirement to evidence the learning outcomes and competencies for which AP(E)L is sought.
