Summary:

Functional Skills English and Maths is a part time course for students over 19.

If you want to develop your English and Maths but aren't ready yet for GCSEs then Functional Skills is a good starting point.

We offer Functional Skills English and Maths at Entry Level 3 and above.

The qualification is recognised by colleges and employers and some universities accept Functional Skills instead of GCSEs.

Unlike GCSEs you are able to take your test when you are ready at the level that suits you. You won't have to wait weeks and weeks for the results!

The tests are online or paperbased.

The classes are usually 2 1/2 hours long and run in mornings, afternoons or evenings

Applicants will have to complete an assessment online before places are offered and it is usually on a first come first served basis. Assessment dates happen throughout the year and so it is possible to join the course at a variety of points.
