This course enables you to learn or improve on your basic computer skills for work in a modern office. You will develop word and text processing skills including mail merge and document presentation. You will learn to use email, spreadsheets, Sage accounts and presentation software.

OCR Text Processing Level 2 - this is a nationally recognised qualification in Text Processing, Word Processing, Audio, Business Presentations, Mail Merge and Speed Keying. You can specialise in legal and medical administration.




OCR Administration - this qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to undertake administrative duties in a modern office including units on stock control, personal responsibilities, managing information, planning events and using office equipment.




BCS ITQ ECDL Level 1 and 2- this qualification covers various units including: wordprocessing, internet, email, presentations and spreadsheets.




Essential Skills Literacy, ICT and Numeracy which will be assessed throughout the course.


What qualifications you need

At least 4 GCSEs at grades A* to D, one of which must be in English or successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification.



Where to next

Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress to the Level 3 Business Administration with ICT Skills course or to obtain employment in administrative posts.
