Students will keep a journal in which to conduct research and complete assignments. Towards the end of the course students will write a personal project on an artist of their choice. By the conclusion of the course learners will be able to identify different artists and recognize and read their work.

How you will gain the qualification

An Individual Learning Plan is used to provide an on-going evaluation of the learning experience. The completed work will be assessed at the end of the course. An external assessor visits the college once a year. Learning units are accredited by Agored Cymru.

What qualifications you need

This course is suited to beginners and those with some experience of art who would like to broaden their knowledge.

Where to next

Agored Cymru accreditation is recognised by colleges in Wales and England. Part-time students could progress through a variety of units at different levels, building a portfolio of achievement which could lead to full-time study on art, design and media related courses.
