General information
This qualification can be studied alongside GCSEs or AS subjects. It is a one-year course covering four units (which have separate certificates):
- Install, configure and maintain software
- Designing and creating spreadsheets
- Customer support provision
- Install, configure and test ICT networks
The course would suit learners who wish to work in the IT Support industry or want to take further IT courses. No previous skills are expected but you must always be prepared to work with safety in mind and like the technical side of ICT. Assessment is by practical tests.
