Who is this course for? You will choose this course if you require a high level of support to help you manage your daily lives. This course is generally for those learners who have a history of learning difficulties/disabilities and continue to require a high level of support to develop their independence and daily living skills. What will I study ? The main aim of this course is to help you develop your independent skills. The emphasis is on Communication and social skills, self advocacy and living skills. The course has a maximum of 15 hours per week spread over 3 days a week. The group is small, up to 6 learners in one class with a teacher and a learning support staff. You will have supervision during breaks. How will I be assessed ? The main aim of this course is to help you develop your independent skills. An Award in Personal Progress Entry Level 1 and RARPA targets (personalised targets set at different periods during the year. What can the course lead to ? Depending on your progress, you may stay in the same course with different individual targets or you may move to Pathways to Independence (see course code 3B33150 How do I join the course ?
