Developing a Business Website

Who is this course for? This course is designed for anyone who wants to develop a web site for their business (or for someone else's business). This course is designed from a web developers point of view and covers a variety of activities including: writing a client brief, planning a business website, developing artwork using Photoshop, and building a site using Macromedia Dreamweaver. The course covers how to create interactive web sites such as simple e-commerce sites, a customer enquiry or feedback facility or an online brochure. What qualifications or experience do I need ? There are no formal entry requirements. But you will need to have some experience of using a computer and some knowledge of Dreamweaver web development software would be useful. What will I study ? Covers all of the steps in the creation of a business web site * Understanding client requirements * Marketing and design considerations * Technical issues * Creating artwork * Adding interactivity How will I be assessed ? There is no coursework or examination for this course. You will receive a College certificate of attendance. What can the course lead to ? After successful completion learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge to develop professional quality web sites. The Web-based Database course might be a useful course to study after this.
