More than 25% of the world’s forests are managed partly for the conservation of biodiversity. More than 25% of the world’s forests are managed partly for the conservation of biodiversity. This Conservation and Forest Ecosystems degree will provide you with a basic understanding of forestry; combined with an understanding of the principles and practice of conservation, forest ecology and ecosystems, and the methods in which forests can be managed to meet conservation objectives. If you choose the four-year Conservation and Forest Ecosystems degree course you will spend 7-12 months working for a conservation or forestry organisation, applying your knowledge and understanding in a professional situation. In both the three- and four-year courses there are opportunities for studying abroad (in other parts of Europe or in Canada) for all or part of the second year.
