Extended Diploma in Engineering yr2

Introduction

This course will give a general overview and training in the areas of engineering directly relevant to the needs of employees and employers in the industry. It is run in conjunction with ATG Training Group.

You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you will develop the skills you need to start or progress a career. Valued by employers and universities, they offer a clear route into employment or higher education.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical and theory assignments.

Entry Requirements

You must have a minimum of 4 passes (C) grade GCSEs including English, Maths and Science, and/or a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in an engineering related field. You will also need to show genuine interest in the engineering industry. Entry is also subject

Additional Information

You may also study a qualification in Functional Skills in either, Maths, English or IT. A course contribution fee of £50.00 will apply, this contributes towards an external trade related trip and course administration.

Progression

After successful completion of this course, students can progress onto a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering.
