Requirements Engineering

This course is structured around a Requirements Engineering framework which utilises a range of techniques for elicitation, analysis, documentation and management of requirements. A detailed case study is used on the course to enable attendees to practise applying the techniques. Key areas covered include:

• Use case modelling and user stories
• Requirements categorisation, prioritisation and documentation

• Traceability and management of changes to requirements

Assessment and accreditation

This course prepares participants for the BCS Requirements Engineering examination, which is held on the final day of the course. The examination is open-book and tests the participant's application of Requirements Engineering techniques on business scenarios. This certificate contributes to the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, as shown below:
In addition to covering the full BCS syllabus, this course is approved as consistent with the IIBA BABoK version 2.0 and enables participants to develop SFIA skills BUAN and REQM.
