- achieve transformational change more quickly
- contribute to an improvement in decision-making and policy-making
- meet the need to do more with less and to balance the increasing demands with available resources without compromising on quality
- maximise returns on investments.
The course includes both examinations.
Prerequisites

The course is aimed at individuals who have no prior knowledge or experience and who wish to acquire sufficient knowledge to enable them to apply and tailor the method and to make a positive contribution to any project, as well as contributing to improvements in the operational environment. The course will be equally beneficial to anyone responsible for, or supporting portfolio, programme, or project management in the public or private sectors operational efficiency improvement initiatives.

Delegates will be given their own copy of the official MoV® “Management of Value” publication on the first day of the course, which is theirs to keep.

You must be familiar with the APMG Terms and Conditions of Certification which can be found on the APMG International website.

Delegates must bring photographic identification with them on exam days (passport, driving license or student card) as it is an examination requirement to produce it for the invigilator prior to the exam. Failure to produce a valid form of photographic identification may result in a candidate not being able to sit the exams. Additional work will be required during evenings consisting of consolidation reading, mock examination questions and exercises. This evening work is an integral part of the course and delegates should expect to spend up to 2 hours each evening on these activities.

Practical exercises and practise for the examinations linked to the various topic areas listed above will be undertaken throughout the three days.
Examinations
Foundation
All delegates will sit the MoV® Foundation examination in the late afternoon of the third day of the course. The exam consists of:
- 50 multiple choice questions
- 40 minutes
- Closed-book
- Candidates require a minimum of 25 correct answers (50%) to pass.
Practitioner
All delegates will sit the MoV® Foundation examination in the late afternoon of the final day of the course.
The purpose of the Practitioner qualification is to confirm you have achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor MoV in a scenario situation. The experience of the individual, the level of support available and the complexity of the situation to which MoV is to be applied will be factors that impact what the Practitioner can achieve.
- Objective testing
- 8 questions per paper with 10 marks available per question - all question items will be worth 1 mark, making the total number of marks available per paper 80
- 40 marks required (out of 80 available) to pass - 50%
- Two-and-a-half hours duration
- Open book exam (only the MoV Manual is allowed).
