Who Should Attend 

This PMI-ACP exam prep course is intended for anyone who wants to learn the principles and practices of agile.

Any professional looking forward to gain proven knowledge on agile methodologies, agile principles and agile tools and techniques should take PMI-ACP® certification.

Project Management Agile certification establishes one’s proficiency in agile practices and agile development.

PMO leaders, traditional Project Managers working with agile developers and Project Managers looking for more successful ways for projects planning and execution and people implementing Agile in Waterfall organizations are ideal participants for PMI-ACP® certification.

EXAM INFORMATION

The PMI-ACP exam is not included with this course. You have to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI)® before you can sit the exam. There’s a strict protocol as they have to authenticate that the pre-requisite criteria has been met prior to exam attendance. You will then pay the exam fee directly to the PMI to schedule your exam. In order to understand the PMI process we recommend you review the PMI-ACP handbook on the PMI website.

In order to sit this exam, you will need to be able to demonstrate to the PMI that you have:

  • A secondary degree or higher.
  • 21 hours of training in agile practices.
  • At least 1,500 hours of experience working on agile project teams during last three years.
  • A minimum of 2,000 hours of general project management experience in the last five years. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement, but you do not need to have either of these qualifications to apply for the PMI-ACP.

PMI-ACP® Exam Application Process 

  • Register to become a member of the
  • Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Take our PMI-ACP Exam Prep Course to satisfy the required 21 contact hours (PDUs) education requirement.
  • Submit your PMI-ACP application through the PMI website & pay the fee.
  • Schedule your exam with Pearson VUE.

The format of the exam is as follows:

  • Three hours in duration
  • Multiple choice
  • 120 questions

Every three years, you will need to earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) in agile topics, in order to maintain your PMI-ACP qualification.
