Duration:1 Year Fee: Under 24 year old : £750
Full-Time courses for 16-18 School Leavers are Free.
If you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t have a qualification equivalent to 2 A Levels, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged 19-23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

• Communication
• Health and Safety
• Research
• Public Health
• Diet and Nutrition
• Anatomy and Physiology Entry Qualification: For entry onto this
course, you ought to have at least one of the following:
• 5 GCSE A*-C grades including English, Maths and a Science
subject
• A BTEC First Diploma in a care related subject at Distinction
• Related work experience
• Other care related Level 2 qualifications Special Features: The
course is made up of 10 Core units and 8 Specialist units. There is
also 300 hours of compulsory placement during the course.
Progression: Once you have successfully completed the course you
will have the opportunity to progress on to Higher Education.
Students progress on to a wide range of courses including:
• Social work
• Social Policy
• Youth work
• Teaching
You may also directly enter the workforce with your qualification
in such roles as Learning Assistants, Youth work, Residential Care,
Nursing Auxiliary, Operating Department Assistants, Podiatry
Assistants and Assistant Practitioners. Further study may be
necessary for some occupations.
