Duration:1 Year Fee: £750
If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).
Course Content: Throughout this course you will become familiar with the broad range of Art and Design disciplines. The content of the course will focus upon drawing and painting techniques, printmaking, textiles, ceramics, 3D design, graphics, computer art etc.

This course is ideal if you are an adult returning to education
looking towards developing skills in a range of Art and Design
activities including Textiles, 3D, Ceramics, Fine Art, Graphics and
Fashion. Entry Qualification: A keen interest in the subject is
essential along with some evidence of previous art or design work
brought to interview. Special Features: All Art and Design students
study in our purpose-built Art school at the Ashton campus. This
allows students at all levels to share ideas and have access to
work by students in other creative areas. There is an extensive
range of facilities for students wishing to go on and specialise in
Fashion, Graphic Design, Photography or 3D Design. Course Format:
Student work is assessed on a continuous basis with students
completing various assignments and coursework, which are compiled
into a portfolio for the award. Progression: Having successfully
completed the course, which is equivalent to 4 GCSEs grades A*– C,
you will have the opportunity to further your education through
BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art & Design and from there you
could progress to University.
