For those wishing to explore the new medium of ‘fashion film’, this is the perfect opportunity. Most magazines are now online and seeking moving content. In particular, there are a host of new online magazines that are exclusively looking for fashion film content. Fashion designers are also looking to produce short films of their collections for their websites, and to post on to blogs like nowness.com and YouTube.

Research is vital to your understanding of the medium. It is only by looking at the past that you can understand the future. By looking at the history of film we realise the importance of story telling, both in fashion stills and fashion film. We will also look at composition, cinematography, editing and colour grading for film, and advanced Photoshop retouching.
