Construction Skills- CSkills Level 2 Diploma in Joinery (Bench) units to include: • Health, Safety and Welfare in construction and associated industries. • Knowledge of construction technology. • Understanding information, quantities and communication with others. • Mark out from setting out details for routine joinery products. • Prepare and use carpentry and joinery portable power tools. • Produce setting out details for routine joinery products. • Set up and operate cutting and shaping machinery. • Manufacture routine joinery products.

Assessment Methods
Continuous assessment throughout the course of practical workshop and theory tasks. This will be presented as a portfolio of evidence. Practical aspects of the course are examined by an overall practical end test. Theory is tested at the end of each unit by an online, multiple choice exam. There will also be an externally set multiple choice exam.
