This course has no set curriculum; instead you will propose and negotiate a project which will form your course of study. You will manage and deliver this project, realising it through the research and writing of a thesis, or a combination of practical and research approaches.

We will give you access to creative, academic and business expertise, in the form of an academic supervisor, who will support and guide you throughout the course.

What will you study?

Actual course content will be determined by your individual project proposal. For all students, however, the course is split into three modules.

• Module One: Research and Context
• Module Two: Project Development
• Module Three: Project Realisation and Presentation

At the start of the course you will develop your initial project proposal so that it becomes a viable proposal for Masters registration.

How will you study?

You will be assigned a specialist academic supervisor, who will support and guide you through the duration of the course.

Alongside your project proposal, and in full consultation with your supervisor, you will develop a learning agreement which will help you to plan your project. You will use it it organise the timeline of your project including key points in the course that you plan to access resources, go on external visits, conduct interviews with specialists and any other methods you intend to use.

As soon as you and your supervisor have agreed the basic outline of your project, you will begin your research. This could be practical, theoretical or a mixture of both.

Throughout the course you will develop and maintain a reflective journal. This is a record of your project's journey and should include critical analysis, research, evaluation of thoughts and activities, as well as professional theory and practice in relation to your area of study.

Assessment

Assessment is by coursework and a presentation at the end of each module.

You will undertake review and evaluation at critical stages throughout the course, with ongoing formative feedback taking place during your negotiated tutorials.
