Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality Services (QCF) - Housekeeping

This qualification is aimed at those working in the hospitality industry, in housekeeping. This qualification can be taken whilst in the workplace to allow hands on experience as you train. It is a flexible route allowing a wide range of units to be studied. The qualification is achieved by successfully completing a combination of the mandatory and optional units. Group A Mandatory Units: * Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment * Contribute to effective teamwork * Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation Group B Optional Units: * Collect linen and make beds * Clean windows from the inside * Clean and service a range of housekeeping areas * Use of different chemicals and equipment * Maintain housekeeping supplies * Clean, maintain and protect hard floors * Clean and maintain soft floors and furnishings * Provide a linen service * Carry out periodic room servicing and deep cleaning Benefits: * Obtain a recognised qualification * Up to date skills and knowledge * Proven motivation to succeed within the industry/sector * Increased progression opportunity within the industry Duration: A minimum of six months to complete, although depending upon the individual this may be completed within a shorter timescale. No formal entry criteria only the ability to undertake a Level 2 qualification.. All applicants are assessed at interview to ensure the correct level of study. Prior qualifications or experience in a relevant job will be taken into consideration.
