The course is for people who have already learnt some Italian and are therefore familiar with the basic introductions, ordering food in a restaurant, booking accommodation and buying souvenirs. The third year will develop these topics. On the grammar front, we will be building on use of the present, past tense (perfect and imperfect) and future, introducing the conditional and present progressive, taking a closer look at pronouns. By the end of the course You will have a really good knowledge of relating all events, past, present and future. You will be able to get by in Italy with a sound base of vocabulary, and be able to understand simple conversations at a steady flow.
Additional NotesWhat will happen on the first evening? After the usual admin presentation and paperwork, the tutor will give a brief test to the students, to make sure that they are all roughly at the right stage, and will ask them to introduce themselves.
