This is an applied academic course. You learn by completing
projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace
situations, activities and demands. You will develop the skills
needed to start a career in the sports industry. This course is
equivalent to three A Levels and is accepted by universities for
entry Five Reasons to Study this Course at Chichester 1. Variety of
staff backgrounds 2. Pathways to both fitness / injuries &
teaching / coaching in Yr 2 3. Links to local schools /
universities (enterprise) 4. Trips relating to units e.g. St
George's Park, Bath University 5. Variation in assessing methods.

Fitness Testing for Sport & Exercise All students take three
specialised subjects in: * Fitness Training & Programming *
Sports Psychology * Sports Development * Nutrition * Physical
Education & Caring for Children & Young people * Outdoor
Adventure How will I be Taught? The course will be theory based
sessions delivered in the classroom and practical sports sessions.
How will I be Assessed? All units are assessed via coursework and
an overall grade for the qualification awarded - (Pass, Merit,
Distinction criteria).
