Course Overview
This course is designed for those students who want to work in music production, sound engineering, DJ-ing or the creative technologies sector. You will learn the techniques associated with the recording, composition and manipulation of sound and music. You need not be a performing musician but these skills would be advantageous. This two year course of study consists of 18 modules, each specialising in a particular area of music or music technology. There will be a mix of practical and theory classes which are delivered by a range of specialist lecturers. Throughout the course you will have the opportunity toperform at events, competitions and create original music.


Entry Requirements
Requirements are pre-defined by the College’s admissions criteria. Applicants must complete an aural assessment practical audition.

Where will this course take you
Successful students can pursue a career in computer music, production and sound engineering or the creative technologies sector. Alternatively higher level students may wish to progress to professional training in their specialist area or to degree level at a UK or Irish university.
