At the end of the course you will have developed a range of skills, an understanding of important
engineering concepts and ideas and a sound grounding in mathematics and science, which will help you to
progress to further study.

This course is assessed through a range of internally set activities such as assignments, projects,
presentations, teamwork and practical activities, as well as externally set assessments in
certain units.
Assessment is continuous throughout the course.
On successful completion students gain four GCSE's (A*-C).
If required, you will also undertake Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.

Requirements are pre-defined by the College's admissions criteria which are outlined at the beginning of this prospectus.

Where will this course take you
This course will provide the foundation required to enable progression to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma or to apprenticeship/employment.
