FAQ

What is the Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP®) certification?

CDCP® is an internationally recognised certification that validates your knowledge of data centre infrastructure, design principles, operations, and best practices for maintaining highly available data centre facilities.

What’s the benefit of this certification?

The Data Centre Foundation Certificate (DCFC®) equips participants with the essential knowledge to begin a career in the rapidly growing data centre industry. It provides a solid understanding of core data centre concepts and infrastructure, preparing learners for a wide range of entry-level roles. The course also lays the groundwork for further professional development, enabling participants to pursue advanced training in specialised areas such as data centre design, operations, governance, and industry standards and compliance.

Is this a hands-on technical course?

The course focuses on practical best practices and operational knowledge rather than equipment installation or vendor-specific technologies. It equips participants with the skills to assess, improve, and manage data centre facilities effectively.

Is the certification recognized internationally?

Yes. CDCP® is accredited by EXIN, a globally recognised independent certification body, making it a valuable credential for professionals working in data centres worldwide. The certification is valid for three years after which the student needs to re-certify.

What career opportunities does CDCP® support?
