What is the course about?Students will have the opportunity to develop their Microsoft
Windows knowledge and experience, and create and edit spreadsheets.
They will learn how to manage files and folders using Windows
Explorer. They will learn how to send an email with an attachment,
for example, digital photos.
The content and outcomes of the course will be discussed with you
and may be adapted to meet your needs and those of the group. By
the end of the course you should be able to:
Manage and organise computer files and folders
Understand file management using Windows Explorer
Create and edit an Excel spreadsheet
Format an Excel spreadsheet
Send an email with an attachment e.g. pictures …

Who is the course for?
This course is an ideal follow on from Beginners Plus and is
aimed at those who have some knowledge or experience of computers,
and those wishing to gain confidence in using their computer at
home or work.
What is your approach?
There will be demonstrations and explanations, followed by time
for you to practise all the new techniques you are being shown.
You will have an opportunity to maintain an Individual Learning
Plan and your tutor will discuss your progress and achievement with
you throughout the course.

All Aspire Sussex dedicated Adult Education centres have Windows 7
and Microsoft Office 2010 installed on all computers.
If it is important for you to be using a particular version of
software on your computer you must check with the centre at the
time of booking your course, that the version you wish to learn is
used on the course you are joining.
Use of removable Computer media
A number of Adult Education courses make use of computers and they
allow for the use of removable media either provided as part of the
course or brought in by students or tutors. This media may include
CDs, DVDs, USB memory sticks or digital camera memory cards.
