You will be provided with a work book and resources to cover relevant outcomes within each module. You are required to complete all activities for each unit within the work book.
There is also a requirement for an observation or witness statement to be completed related to the following working practices:
- Effective handwashing techniques
- The wearing of Personal Protective Clothing (PPE)
What will I study?
The programme consists of three units with a credit value of 7 credits:Unit 1 - The principles of infection, prevention and control.
Unit 2 - Cause and spread of infection.
Unit 3 - Cleaning, decontamination and waste management.
What does the course lead to?
The programme supports progression to other courses including Diplomas in Health and Social Care or cleaning qualifications.Entry requirements
