Course Information
The MSc in International Business and Finance is designed to suit the needs of non-business undergraduates wishing to develop further their knowledge and skills in the field of international business and finance. This programme capitalises on nearly 10 years' experience of teaching specialist business and management education, and has the following features:

• Additional academic and language support if English is not your
first language
• September business English programme (for students with IELTS 6.0
and a minimum of 5.5 in each component)
The programme is designed for you if you are a graduate seeking a conversion degree in finance within an international business context. The programme develops the managerial and general business knowledge skills required to operate successfully in a finance-related role and excel in an international business environment. The programme is full time, and will typically take 12-15 months to complete, dependent upon the time required to complete the dissertation stage of your studies.

You will develop the knowledge and skills of business and finance, as well as the cultural awareness to enable you to make an impact in an international commercial environment. After completing the course, you will have a strong grounding in international business and finance and will be well placed to pursue careers in finance relating to international business within a range of organisations or business environments.
Indicative Content
The learning focus of the MSc in International Business and Finance is to enable you to acquire a broad, robust and practical knowledge of business administration and finance in a global business context. The essential knowledge and skills required of international business managers are covered in Term 1. This leaves Term 2 to conclude with integrative modules (strategy and research methods) and specialist finance modules. The successful completion of your research project in Term 3 will enable you to gain your MSc in International Business and Finance.

Dissertation (60 credits)The purpose of the dissertation is to
complete an original and independent business research project. The
dissertation will develop your research, analysis, synthesis, and
business writing skills. The research project will focus on your
chosen specialised area of International Business and Finance.
Assessment To gain the Master's degree students need to complete
eight modules and a dissertation of approximately
15,000-words.

Entry Requirements
Typical entry requirements - individual offers may vary:
Applicants should normally have a good honours degree (2:2 or
above) or equivalent. Non-native speakers of English are expected
to have IELTS 6.5, or equivalent. Students with IELTS 6.0 will be
required to undertake the September business English programme that
is integrated within the programme of study. If you are an
international student, you may wish to check the equivalence of
your qualifications with the UK National Academic Recognition
Information Centre (UK NARIC) www.naric.org.uk or alternatively,
you may also contact the Admissions Office to find out if your
qualification is suitable for entry.
