IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center 4.1 Administration and Operation

Prerequisites:

* Familiarity with the IBM ESS (Enterprise Storage Server)
* Familiarity with the IBM Disk Storage family (DS4000/DS6000/DS8000 series)

Course Description:

IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center is a comprehensive solution for managing storage capacity, availability, events, performance, and assets in an enterprise environment. Automated user-defined policies can detect potential problems and make adjustments based on user criteria. IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center is a key component in the information life cycle management solution.

Hands-on lab comprise over 50 percent of this course. Instructor-led discussions and demonstrations focus on daily administration and operation, report generation and analysis, and policy management. Students are assigned a unique server to administer IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center 4.1 in a Windows 2003 environment. Hands-on excercises provide the opportunity to practice administering the entire suite of products including Fabric Manager, Disk Manager and Data Manager -- with an overview of Replication Manager -- to help you learn to integrate those.
