ApprenticeshipsNI Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology combines the practical hands-on experience of the workplace with the knowledge and understanding and practical skills gained in the college classroom and workshops.

How do I join? You must be in full-time paid employment with a suitable Northern Ireland registered electrical contracting employer. You must be aged 16-24. Complete an application form and attend an interview. Take part in an aptitude test (if applicable). Be physically fit, free from colour blindness, able to work at heights and in confined spaces (written verification will be required from your Doctor and Optician). What will I study? An ApprenticeshipsNI Framework which consists of: A competence based element City & Guilds Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment). A knowledge based element City & Guilds Award in the Fundamental Principles and Requirements of Environmental Technology Systems. Employment Rights and Responsibilities Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) are a compulsory part of all Apprenticeship programmes that show that the apprentice has had a full induction to the employing company and training programme, and is aware of the essential workplace rights and responsibilities. Essential Skills Essential Skills in Numeracy, Literacy and ICT (if applicable).
