This Anatomy & Physiology course will provide you with all the essential theory knowledge of the human body needed to perform Body and Beauty Therapy treatments safely and effectively. The course covers all the major systems of the human body: Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive, Urinary, Endocrine, Lymphatic, Nervous, Cardiovascular and Respiratory. You will be set short written papers during the two weeks to check your learning progress for each system of the body, and at the end of the course you will sit a final paper covering all aspects of the knowledge. All papers count towards your Diploma, therefore you need to pass each paper eventually (you may make more than one attempt at each).

This Anatomy & Physiology course will provide you with all the essential theory knowledge of the human body needed to perform Body and Beauty Therapy treatments safely and effectively. The course covers all the major systems of the human body: Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive, Urinary, Endocrine, Lymphatic, Nervous, Cardiovascular and Respiratory. You will be set short written papers during the two weeks to check your learning progress for each system of the body, and at the end of the course you will sit a final paper covering all aspects of the knowledge. This is a very intensive course with lots of information to absorb, so you will need to be very disciplined to study at home after your classes. You will be required to learn things 'by heart' as well as understand enough to be able to give detailed responses in the written paper. You will be required to draw basic antomical diagrams (e.g. of the heart, or a cell) as well as labelling pre-printed diagrams.
THIS IS AN INTENSIVE COURSE. AS SOON AS YOU BOOK PLEASE VISIT THE SCHOOL AND REQUEST YOUR COPY OF THE TEXT BOOK SO THAT YOU CAN START STUDYING BEFORE THE COURSE.

An Anatomy & Physiology qualification is a pre-requisite for many other courses, therefore this course is essential if you wish to further your beauty therapy training.

Entry Requirements:• The minimum age for entry to this course is 18 years - no exceptions. There is no upper age limit.
• No previous experience required, although a good general education is essential for this very demanding course
• An excellent level of English is required. You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently. You may be asked to sit an entry test to check your level of English.

AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED IN YOUR FEES:• Ring-binder folder to hold the new loose-leaf style text book
(you should ask for the text book in advance to assisit you in your studies)
• A new loose-leaf style Anatomy & Physiology text book which has been designed to cover the entire VTCT syllabus
• VTCT Assessment Book D1060

Not Included (But Required):• Stationary items such as pens, note paper, folders for presenting your work etc.
