The course uses the industry standard AutoCAD draughting and modelling software. Develop essential knowledge of a range of 3D modelling and visualisation techniques. Enrolled students qualify for educational software licences of AutoCAD to use while studying.

Course Content

During the course you should be able to achieve the following :

  • Understand multi−coordinate systems and apply appropriate commands to setup a 3D modelling environment
  • Construct and edit 3D objects at any position within three dimensional space using wire frame, surface and solid modelling techniques
  • Perform Boolean operations to develop complex 3D models
  • Slice, section and cut−away models to produce quality layouts with multiple views for presentations.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course it is expected that you are computer literate and have previous knowledge of 2D CAD drawing skills, ideally having completed the level 3 AutoCAD course.
