Acceptance is usually by informal interview, and although the tuition is just one day a week for five consecutive weeks, it really needs at least one more day of study each week at home with additional trips to London to fully benefit. Once a year in April a 5 day (Monday - Friday) course is available. On both courses numbers are kept very small, and a light lunch is provided.

It is of value in taking home décor to a much higher level, and forms a firm foundation for those thinking of interior design as a career.  A summary of the course content is as follows:

The key elements of good design. Style, including the historical perspective. The professional route to design. Superior colour, pattern and texture considerations. Effective lighting schemes. Stylising a room for quality and originality.
